Maps: Empires, Kingdoms and Cities of the Bible

Assyrian Empire 1:
This map is a panoramic view of the Assyrian Empire showing the location of ancient cities such as Tyre, Babylon, and Damascus. The capital of ancient Assyria was Nineveh. In 722 B.C. the northern tribes of Israel were destroyed by the Assyrians just as God had warned them through the prophets. Many Israelites went into exile losing both their possessions and their cultural identity.

Assyrian Empire 2:
This map is another panoramic view of the Assyrian Empire showing the location of ancient cities such as Tyre, Babylon, and Damascus. The capital of ancient Assyria was Nineveh.

Babylonian Empire:
This map is a panoramic view of the Babylonian Empire showing the location of ancient cities such as Tyre, Memphis, Jerusalem, Harran, Thebes and Damascus. The capital city was Babylon. King Nebuchadnezzar finally destroyed Jerusalem in 586 B.C. and deported almost all of the remaining Israelites to Babylon as God had warned them by the prophets. A remnant of the Israelites were allowed to return to Israel 70 years later.

Kingdoms of David and Solomon 1:
This map is a broad view of the territory that God had promised to give to David and His Seed as described in 1 Kings 4:20 as well as the kingdom of Saul in ancient Israel. This map includes ancient Bible Cities such as Jerusalem, Petra, Damascus, Kadesh, Megiddo, Tyre, Ashdod, Beersheba, Ziklag, and Sidon.

Kingdoms of David and Solomon 2:
This map is another view of the territories included in the Kingdoms of David and Solomon including the territories of Edom, Philistia, Moab and Bible Cities such as Jerusalem, Petra, Damascus, Kadesh, Megiddo, Tyre, Ashdod, Beersheba, Ziklag, and Sidon.

Kingdoms of David and Solomon 3:
Another view of the territories included in the Kingdoms of David and Solomon includes the additional territories of Amalek, Hamath, Phoenicia and the Eastern Desert as well as Edom, Philistia, Moab

The Kingdoms of Ancient Israel and Judah 1:
This map is a detailed close-up of the Land of Canaan after the unity of the twelve Tribes of Israel was fractured following the time of King Solomon. Rehoboam, (Solomon's son) was left with the territory of only a few tribes to the south. This map also shows the location of Samaria, ancient Phoenicia, Philistia (land of the Philistines), Moab (land of the Moabites), Aram (Syria), Ammon (the Ammonite Kingdom), and Edom.

This map is another view of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah including the location of Samaria, ancient Phoenicia, Philistia (land of the Philistines), Moab (land of the Moabites), Aram (Syria), Ammon (the Ammonite Kingdom), and Edom.

This map is yet another view of the kingdoms of Israel and Judah including the location of Samaria, ancient Phoenicia, Philistia (land of the Philistines), Moab (land of the Moabites), Aram (Syria), Ammon (the Ammonite Kingdom), and Edom.

This map shows the territory of the kingdom of Herod the Great including the location of Samaria, many of the ancient territories and cities of the Bible.
