Maps and Cities of the Bible: The Ancient World

The Fertile Crescent:
Sometime around 2500 B.C. a great migration developed upon what is known as the "Fertile Crescent," which was like a great arc of cultivable land that extended from the Persian gulf, up and around Mesopotamia and back down to Israel and Egypt.

This map is a view of the ancient world showing the areas and territories settled by Noah and his descendants Shem, Ham, Japheth, Eber, Tubal, Meshech, Gomer, Beth-Togarmah, and Magog.

Included also are notable cities of the Old Testament such as, Ur of the Chaldeans (Chaldees), Troy, Mycenae, Memphis, Heliopolis, Nineveh, Beersheba, Babylon, Jerusalem, Dedan, Thebes, Damascus, Megiddo, Shechem, Bethel, Gaza, Ai, and Tarsus. Mount Ararat, Mount Sinai,Mount Hermon and the area known as the "fertile Crescent" are also noted.
